Chic settings and too-cool clientele are hallmarks of h.wood Group’s concepts, a collection of a dozen trendy restaurants, clubs and bars such as Poppy, The Nice Guy and Bootsy Bellows. You can’t head to most of the hospitality group’s L.A. spots as of now—especially considering that indoor dining rooms need to close for the next few weeks—but h.wood just made some of its restaurants the most accessible they’ve ever been, launching delivery-only offshoots from some of its most popular spots. Gorgeous New Modern Mexican Restaurant Comes to Beverly Hills
Though dining rooms were abruptly shuttered for the next three weeks in LA County by order of Gov. Gavin Newsom, a modern Mexican restaurant called Mírame in Beverly Hills is pressing toward a July 6 opening. Joshua Gil, formerly of Tacos Punta Cabras in Santa Monica and Joe’s restaurant in Venice, is partnering with Matthew Egan to open the Matt Winter (of M Winter Design)-designed space along Canon Drive in the former Gratitude space. The rustic, seasonal menu draws from regional Mexican flavors in tostadas, tacos, and ceviches (between $15 to $20) while grilled meats like Colorado lamb belly barbacoa ($33) and a 32 ounce Wagyu cote de boeuf (for a decent price of $125) rule the entree section.
