Malibu

Malibu’s seafood restaurants are already some of the best in L.A., so color the rest of the city jealous now that Broad Street Oyster Co. launched a residency there—as if we needed any more reason to be envious of the breezy beach community. Learn more.

L.A.’s Good Burger pop-up restaurant finally opens this week, serving ’90s nostalgia and Nickelodeon cast members galore, not to mention the fictional fast-food chain’s iconic greeting: “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your orrrrrder?” Learn more.

It’s been “coming soon” for more than half of this current decade, but the dine-in movie theater chain, Alamo Drafthouse, finally opens its first L.A. outpost this weekend at the Bloc. Learn more.

Roga (Run + Yoga) on the Pier

ROGA (run + yoga) returns to the Santa Monica Pier Saturday mornings for its Spring and Summer seasons.

8 a.m. Run: Meet under the iconic Pier sign at the top of the ramp at Colorado and Ocean for a morning  warm-up with a brisk run around the beach and Pier areas. 2 and 5 mile courses available. Walkers welcome too.

9 a.m. Yoga: Meet at the far west end of the Pier. Bring your mat and have your peace of mind restored by Santa Monica’s top instructors as you gaze over the Pacific. All levels encouraged.

When: Saturdays, until August 3, 8-10 AM
